conditioner operates quietly as it works to lower homeowners’ cooling
costs. With a SEER of up to 16.5, it qualifies as an Energy Star
product when it is installed as part of a quality HVAC system.
The XB14 boasts many characteristics that contribute to
its low operating costs and durability. The single-stage, quietly
operating scroll compressor is surrounded by a galvanized steel cabinet.
The cabinet consists of full-side louvered doors with a baked-on powder
paint and Weatherguard fasteners that are resistant to rusting. The
DuraTuff base pan also is designed to resist corrosion. Heat exchange is
maximized thanks to the aluminum Spine Fin outdoor coil. This coil also
creates low air resistance, which further enhances the unit’s
efficiency.
